Proposal (together with 200CENT)

Fundació Úniques, a foundation dedicated to promoting contemporary art created by women living and working in the Països Catalans, and 200CENT, an artist-run platform focused on dialogue, experimentation, and community, join forces for Swab 2026 to present the work of Marga Estelrich, Agustina Fioretti, and Irene Trujillo Villegas.

Bringing together sculpture, installation, photography and archival practices, the presentation considers the relationship between materiality, memory, and place. Across their different practices, the three artists work with landscapes, objects, images, and everyday gestures, exploring how experiences are registered in materials and how they are affected by processes of movement, displacement, and transformation.

Marga Estelrich approaches the landscape as a material space, examining how displacement and the reorganisation of matter can alter our perception of territory. Agustina Fioretti works with archives, images, objects, and forms of domestic knowledge, looking at the ways memory is preserved and transmitted through personal and familial narratives. Irene Trujillo Villegas focuses on observation and the everyday, paying attention to details, textures, gestures, and forms of making that often go unnoticed.

Together, the three practices investigate our relationship to our surroundings, both external and internal, and the ways in which memory and environments can be revisited, transformed, and understood from new perspectives.

Agustina Fioretti

Agustina Fioretti is an Argentine artist based in Barcelona. Her practice spans installation, image, text, and performance. From a situated and feminist perspective, her work explores the relationships between memory, migration, family archives, oral transmission, and processes of material transformation.

Through research that brings together intimate narratives, geographical displacements, and domestic knowledge, Fioretti works with images, objects, recipes, bodies, and materials in transit. Her recent projects address the tensions between belonging and estrangement, inheritance and loss, South and North, as well as the ways in which certain gestures, languages, and memories move across territories.

She is currently part of the Independent Studies Program at MACBA and has her studio at Hangar, Barcelona. Her recent solo exhibitions include Fuga Gallery / Art Nou, Barcelona (2025); Tangent Projects, l’Hospitalet de Llobregat (2025); and Centre Cívic Guinardó, Barcelona (2026). In 2026, she also completed the Arte por Venir residency at Fundación Carasso in Madrid.

She has presented projects and performances at venues including Fundació Joan Miró, Fundació Vila Casas, Chiquita Room, Tangent Projects, Lluerna / Fundació Joan Miró, Centre Cívic Can Verdaguer, and Convent Sant Agustí, among others. Her work has also been presented in New York, Washington D.C., Buenos Aires, Milan, and Santiago de Chile.

Irene Trujillo Villegas

Irene Trujillo Villegas lives and works between Barcelona and Colombia. Her artistic training began at the Universidad de Los Andes (Bogotá) and continued at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she graduated with an emphasis in Sculpture and Drawing. She later completed a Postgraduate Degree in Contemporary Applied Arts at the Escola Massana (Barcelona) and trained as a Professional Chef at the Escola Gato Dumas, an experience that has nurtured her interest in care and shared creation.

His practice unfolds between sculpture, drawing, photography and installation, and starts from the observation of the environment as a form of care and activation of memory. He invites us to witness the everyday from the pause: reading between the lines, noticing what often goes unnoticed, contemplating the minimal. The line, the shadow, the wrinkle, the fold, the imperfection and time are recurring elements in his work, where trial and error are understood as part of the process.

He has co-founded collectives in Mexico, France, Greece, Switzerland, Colombia and Barcelona, with the aim of generating cultural bonds through common dialogues. These include Espacio Pacha (with Dimitra Charamandas), Allò Collective (with Océane Jacob and Anthony Lopez), Sobremesa Colectiva (with Andrea Perales Covarrubias), Cicada Collective and Tanta (with Carla Valenti).

Her work has been exhibited in Bogotá, Brittany, Crete, Basel, Chicago, Barcelona and Mexico City, as well as at the Albareda Cultural Center and the Catalonia Crafts Center. Her last exhibition was with Fundació Úniques, within the framework of Art Nou 2026. In 2022 she was recognized as First Student Finalist in the Enjoia’t A-FAD Awards, at the Disseny Hub. In 2024 she culminated a year-long project with an exhibition at the El Arenero gallery (Mexico City), within the framework of art week, after exploring strategies for remote creation and ways of sustaining affective and productive bonds between Oaxaca and Barcelona. She has recently been a resident at Duplex, Lisbon. She currently travels the geological, symbolic and affective layers between Chile and Colombia, investigating the Andean environment as a dramatic territory.
