Ariadna Guiteras

Ariadna Guiteras’s practice explores bodies and the relationships that shape them. Her work is grounded in performativity; in her most recent pieces, she employs slow temporalities and collaborative processes to delve into questions such as the dissolution of the child–adult binary and the medieval theory of the “porous body.” This exploration has taken the form of exuding vases (This Whole Tragedy of Ideology and Love, MACBA Collection, 2019), large modular structures collectively built with school groups (Dues urpes que fan un ou, Dilalica, 2022; CAC Brétigny, 2025), soft objects that accumulate the material memory of Vila Joana (in collaboration with Diversorium, Manifesta 15 Barcelona Metropolitana, 2024), and a weaving together of her practice with that of artist Lauren Gault (Dilalica, BGW, 2025).

She has been an artist in residence at Gasworks (London) and Hangar (Barcelona). Her work has been exhibited, among other venues, at Fundació Miró (Barcelona), Arts Santa Mònica (Barcelona), The Bower (London), CentroCentro (Madrid), SACO (Tenerife), La Capella (Barcelona), APA (Brussels), H.AAC (Vic), and CA2M (Madrid).
