ATM (Gijón)
ATM is a platform that hosts projects that extend beyond the traditional exhibition format, including residency programs and various collaborations. It brings together artists from diverse backgrounds as a way of highlighting artistic practice beyond other forms of classification. ATM seeks to promote a strong and consistent program aimed at bringing its artists into the international contemporary art scene.
Proposal
HTC | ATM is ATM’s residency program, conceived as a space for research, production, and support aimed at strengthening artists’ practices. For this edition of SWAB 2026, the work of Pelayo Tamargo is presented, whose practice develops within the context of the gallery and establishes a dialogue between painting and the programmed image. In a hybrid and shifting space between painting and digital imagery, the work takes shape as a fragmented, non-linear narrative, filled with gaps, displacements, and contradictions.
Pelayo Tamargo was born in Gijón on October 8, 1997, where he currently lives and develops his artistic practice. He graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Salamanca in 2019, where he was awarded the San Marcos Painting Prize in 2018. In 2023, he completed a Master’s Degree in Teacher Training at the University of Oviedo.
